| I'm was born in Cleveland, OH. I left
Cleveland in 1975 to study geology at Wittenberg University in
Springfield, OH. While there, I met my husband, Brian, and we married and
moved
to Arizona after graduation. We moved to Texas after three wonderful years
in Flagstaff. I learned to quilt in 1980 using traditional hand sewing methods. Now, with the exception of a little hand quilting, I do all of my sewing by machine. Since 1996 I've been teaching machine quilting and machine piecing locally in quilt shops and nationally as a part of the pattern company Itza Beach. My work has become increasingly nontraditional and I've recently been exploring mixed media fiber-based art. I bought a Gammill Classic in April, 2004. |
